The Man Behind the Curtain

Joe Johnson likes guitars.  He likes playing them, building them, and teaching others how to play.

In Philly, he played guitar for local NWOBHM favorites WASTOID and power metal kings SHADOWDANCE.  You may have even seen him in videos with the "Queen of Shred", The Great Kat, and he shared the stage with bands like Judas Priest and Manowar.
During the "Philly years" he honed his guitar building expertise at DiPinto Guitars.

A move to Denver saw him taking over guitar duties for local favorites MOORE, and continuing his luthier journey building guitars at the revered Grosh Guitars.

Through all of this, he never quite found a guitar that met his needs for perfect tone and playability, so he designed his own - the Good Guitar.

Today, you can find him on stage with the Denver metal band NECROPANTHER, and writing the occasional blog post for this site.
